Try this simple technique to get your day started in the most BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL way
What's the first thing you do and think about when you wake up in the morning?
Do you reach for your phone, check your emails, do a bit of scrolling between all your social apps to see what's been happening in the time you've had your eyes closed?
Do you go look up at the Everest of all to-do lists and wonder how the freaking heck you're going to even make it to basecamp before the morning is out?
Perhaps you're going through the day ahead, thinking about the meetings you've got, the people you've got to deal with and that sinking sense of dread furrows deep into your brow and your tummy before you've even had you first cup of whatever it is you need to get you going for the day.
Then, you stub your toe getting out of bed, you drop the milk all over the floor, you're running late and you can't find yours keys, every single light turns to red as you approach.
It's going to be one of those days!
How you begin your morning can be make or break for the kind of day you have.
It's the red pill/blue pill moment between creating the kind of energy that feels BIG, BOLD and BEAUTIFUL, or that feels like it's spinning wildly out of control!
So, what if I were to tell you that there's a technique so quick and simple that if you start your day using it, you can make every day one filled with whatever you choose it to be?
I call this technique the BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL energy manifester, it's a way of creating all the energy, empowerment and tools you need for each day.
And it goes like this…
As you wake up, before you do anything else, check in with yourself.
Take a deep, nourishing breath.
Feel the bed and the space you've woken up in.
Gently open your eyes and look around the room, breathe and focus on something that makes you feel a sense of contentment. For me, it's often the light streaming through the blinds, or a painting I have on the wall that makes me feel happy.
Breathe in this moment of presence and gratitude.
Now, thinking ahead to the day you have and do a little checklist of what's coming up.
Don't get caught in the detail, just run it through.
Tune in with what energy you need for the day ahead.
Maybe you've got a meeting coming up that you know is likely to be challenging.
Maybe you've got to be here, there and everywhere and you're wondering how you're going to get it all done.
Maybe there's something that has carried over from the day before - a difficult conversation or something that hasn't been resolved.
Again, breathe big, don't get caught in the detail, just have the awareness of what is present.
Now, tune into what it is you need for the day ahead.
Do you need a sense of calm? Do you need confidence? Do you need to clarity?
Once you have settled on the qualities that you need, invite them in, how might they feel in your body when you do them?
Now, notice you ‘in action’ with those qualities leading the way.
If you know you have a full day of back-to-back meetings or appointments, see yourself moving through the day with ease, or feel a sense of flow and get things done with ease.
If you have a meeting coming up that you know could be a little tricksy, or you have to present something, see yourself having empowering conversations and the faces of those you will be meeting with meeting you with agreement and a positive resolve. Feel into how calm and confident you are in the setting you will be in.
If you know you have to be somewhere for a certain time, see the clear roads, or feel the ease of the travel connections, even down to the perfect parking space that will be waiting for you when you get to your destination. Revel in how easy it all is.
Now, take another deep breath, put your feet on the floor and begin your BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL day ahead.
Doing this kind of energy work is all part of creating a BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL vision and dialling up your BIG, BOLD, BEAUTIFUL energy in alignment with that vision.
